WELCOME TO THE AUTUMN TERM

Our Autumn term has started and the school is buzzing with excitement and enjoyment. We welcome new families across the school and our new Reception children, too.

The weather continues to bring a mix of sunshine and showers, so please ensure your child has a waterproof coat. Staff and children still go out in the rain!

In only the second week, Ms Law, our Welfare Assistant, has counted almost 20 jumpers or cardigans left on the playground and field – all with no names. Parents, please name everything and talk to your child about putting their jumper in the cloakroom or in their bag.

Thank you to those parents who were able to attend the welcome meetings this week and last week. The presentations will be emailed to parents at the beginning of next week, for those who were unable to attend. Or, click here to view the presentations on our website.

Parent communication

We have recently moved to a new information system in the school office called Arbor. If you receive a text message from St. Andrew's, please save the number in your contacts as the school messaging number.

When receiving an email from the school, we politely ask that you do not reply to this email as the reply box is not monitored. Please use the school's main email address admin@standrewsenf.co.uk for any queries.  A reminder that any general classroom queries can be discussed with the class teacher at the end of the day.

We have our annual Macmillan Coffee Afternoon coming up on Friday 3rd October at 2:50 p.m. on the playground. All parents are welcome to come support the charity event by bringing a cake or buying a cuppa and a cake. It is also a lovely opportunity to meet some of our senior leaders, members of the PTA (Parent and Teacher Association) and other parents.

Curriculum letters have been emailed out to all parents. These letters give an overview of the learning taking place this half term. These can also be found on our website, click here.

Parents in Reception classes will be able to follow their child's learning, using the online platform Tapestry. For parents with children in Years 1 to 6, all children have a Teams log in. This is where the weekly homework is set, alongside a brief message from the teacher. Class teachers have log in details for all of our learning platforms, please speak directly to them if you have any queries.
